Logan Paul is set to face off against Floyd Money Mayweather this year, and the odds aren't exactly in the Maverick's favor heading into the fight.

What kind of reality are we living in?

You would think that a world where Logan Paul challenged Floyd "Money" Mayweather to an exhibition fight was too crazy to exist, but apparently not. The former boxing champion accepted the Youtuber's challenge, and the match is set to take place sometime in 2021.

Shock factor aside, Logan Paul has only been in two boxing matches. Both of which took place against a fellow  Youtuber. Believe it or not, this is the boxing record that Paul thinks justifies him stepping into a ring against Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather, the boxer who is 50-0 with 27 knockouts throughout his career.

As if that wasn’t bizarre enough, several sportsbooks have odds on the upcoming exhibition. Some sites are even taking prop bets on who bleeds first, how many rounds Paul can last, and who gets knocked down first. If prop bets aren’t your style, though,  Mayweather's odds are currently listed as the –3500, and Paul sits at +1200.

What Logan Paul has done here is a mix of maddening and magical. He has somehow found a way to bridge the gap between YouTube and the mainstream media. Whether he wins this fight or not doesn't matter. What matters is he goes down in history as that Youtuber that fought Mayweather for clout. Remember, this is a guy that doesn't need a boxing career. He already makes millions. Now Logan Paul has somehow got Mayweather to take a step down by facing him, and while it could net him some injuries, it will do wonders for his publicity.

At the end of the day, that’s really what it’s all about. Now, that clout will come at the cost of blood, sweat, and public embarrassment, but he can still reap the benefits of his loss for years to come.
